You might be here because you're feeling stuck, lost, or tired of feeling the way you have been. You might be feeling like you're in need of a change. I'm grateful that you've chosen to get curious about starting your wellness journey with me. I strive to work closely with you in an empathic, non-judgmental, and supportive manner to make sense of how you're feeling, but more importantly to work towards putting you on a path towards a life that fulfills you.
Sharing stories is important as they help us make sense of who we are, and how we function in our day-to-day lives. There is something inherently therapeutic in the telling of your story. Our lives today can feel so fast paced that we don't often get a chance to slow down and acknowledge the emotions that make up our sad, happy, anxious, angry, and scary moments. Our inability to check in on these emotions can sometimes show up negatively in our day-to-day. Counselling can be a space to slow down and check in on these moments. If your moments fly by without noticing, counselling can create at time where everything outside of the session stops and we focus on you and only you.
Sometimes we just need solutions and answers. You shouldn't have to figure it out alone. Allow counselling to be a place you can explore and understand your challenges and create a game-plan to solve or change them. These can include tangible exercises, concrete goals, and next steps.
Everyone deserves a space that is judgment free, validating, supportive, safe, and strictly just for them. Counselling can provide that space and can also guide you towards finding and creating more safe places in your everyday life. Together we can explore what equates a safe place for you, identify your safe places outside of counselling, and what kind of safe places you'd want to have.
